Commercial Design
Reset Wellness is a preventative and recovery-focused wellness facility designed for performers and athletes in the Houston area. Centrally located in the Heights near rehearsal and training facilities, the project provides an accessible space where strength building, injury prevention, and recovery can be integrated into daily routines. By emphasizing Eastern wellness philosophies, the design supports the balance of mind, body, and spirit to help users reduce injury and maintain long-term performance.
This intention is expressed through a minimal and comforting environment, rooted in Eastern healing traditions and biophilic design. A layered palette of deep earth tones creates a grounded atmosphere supported by organic textures, natural materials, and integrated plant life. Soft, diffused lighting, acoustic control, and subtle aromatherapy help regulate the nervous system and promote relaxation. Public areas such as the cafe and lobby will foster community, while wellness-focused spaces such as the salt room, studios, sauna and cold plunge will support physical restoration.
The space planning strategy organizes circulation from active to restorative zones. Movement progresses from public gathering spaces to studios focused on strength and mobility, and finally to quieter treatment areas dedicated to recovery. This sequence creates a psychological separation between exertion and healing, allowing users to mentally shift from performance to restoration. For accessibility, guests may enter through the main reception or through additional exterior entrances, that are located near the studios, for scheduled classes. Through intentional circulation, sensory design, and Eastern healing practices, Reset Wellness offers comprehensive care in an environment where performers and athletes can reset, recover, and return to performance at their highest level.
